Penny is a drug addict, that’s why she goes to Nick’s house all the time to get drugs.

I like the country, pish, posh, it’s a whole lot better than the city, whinge, whinge, whinge.
Dad:
Well I think the city would be better for the family. And you will make friends anyway.
Mum: And another thing, what about the kids. Penny’s got a boyfriend and Veronica’s got a best friend.
Dad:
They will make new friends, and Suze can come and visit Veronica, and Penny can come visit Nick!

I would hate it if my parents made me move from all of my friends, wouldn’t you?

Yeah but I would find new friends at the new place coz I am good at making them.
Green Elf:
Don’t you lie. You only have one friend and that is me. So what do you think of the book?

I thought it was a good thing to read other than the horror books out there.

Eb talking by himself
Hi, I’m Eb. Or Ebony. I’m one of Veronica Bee’s horses. I live in Yarra Valley with Major or Maje, Vee’s other horse.
Vee’s dream’s to ride in the Australian Olympic Eventing team. But her career’s on hold ‘cause the family moved to Kew.
She wants to move back and doesn’t want her parents to divorce. They’ve been fighting a lot, but she doesn’t know why.
Anyway, I’ve got to go and meet Maje now. Chat later, bye!

Eb and Maje talking
E: Hi Maje! Poor Veronica! It’s unfair that she’s forced to move. I hope she’ll OK, I mean with her parents fighting.
M: I hope her parents don’t divorce, especially after the ‘Pauline Thing’. I feel really bad for not telling her.
E: She feels so left out. It seems unfair that her parents don’t tell her what’s going on. She should know, she’s old enough.
M: Her parents know what’s best for her. Keeping this from her might stop her from becoming violent like Penny.
E: Penny’s not that bad. She’s disappointed at her dad’s actions. She just needs a chance to get her head around it.
M: I think both girls just want to come back to Yarra Valley. Penny to be with Nick and Veronica to be with us…
E: Not that the Canadians are that bad. They treat us well, but we don’t get many rides anymore, only when Veronica comes.
M: I miss jumping with her but I really think this will work out for her. I think it will be good for her. Bye Eb!
E: Yeah, maybe you’re right. I don’t think she’ll like being at Lagilla. She’ll be with Amy. Bye Maje. TTYL.

Welcome to Chatting with Cupid. I am Cupid and we have Maje’s Manager as we couldn’t get the actual Maje on the show
Character 2 (Maje’s Manager) –
Hello, thank you for having me on your show. What would you like to know about Veronica Bee?
Character 1 (Cupid) –
Well, first of all I would like to know what its like to be Veronica Bee’s horse? How does she treat you?
Character 2 (Maje’s manager) –
She loves it! She gives her lots of food and grooms her so she always looks her best. She gets exercise too.
Character 1 (Cupid) –
She’s so lucky to have someone who cares so much about her. How does she feel about Veronica’s big move?
Character 2 (Maje’s manager) –
She hates it. She has to stay with different owners; they might not be as nice as Veronica.
Character 1 (Cupid) –
Well that’s extremely unfortunate. I do have one last question. How do you feel about Eb?
Character 2 (Maje’s manager) –
Eb is OK. They don’t both fight each other for Veronica’s love; even though Maje knows she likes her better.
Character 1 (Cupid) –

Penny: You want to know what I think. I HATE BOTH OF YOU! This family is fucked up in a major way.
Mum: How did you know?
Penny: Do you think I’m an idiot? I can’t believe you’d think I didn’t know. Your just as bad because you knew and I hate both of you.

She thinks the world revolves around her, so bad stuff happens. Anyway mum and dad fight and she thinks something’s up.
Veronica is always the last to know. Mum decided to move so we have to go. I’m not going to tell you any more so you’ll just have to read the book!
